He is survived by: his wife Janis Karli; his great grandchild Noah Troy Schmidt; his granddaughters, Kennedy Schmidt (Luke) and Sophie Tietz; his stepgrandson Tony Guenther; his granddaughter Leighin Prescott-Turnlund; his children, Angela Guenther (Don), Barry Tietz and Dean Turnlund; and his sister Marge Peterson.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hope Lutheran Church (201 Hope Ave, Jordan, MN 55352).
