She was predeceased by : her parents, Willard Brevik and Agnes Brevik (Spilde); her husband Cornelius "Neil" Thiessen; her siblings, Roger Brevik (Frances), Merle Brevik, Beverly Ekdahl (Bobby) and Janet Haider (Phil); and her siblings-in-law, Johnny Thiessen, Andrew Thiessen, Richard Thiessen, Francis Thiessen, Gertrude Heinreichs (Gordon), Margaret Shabaga, Susan "Mary" Nordvall Mellstrom (Gustav), Janet Thiessen, Kathy Peterson (James), June Clink and Lillian Wiebe Vanderwoude (Paul).
She is survived by : her daughter Shelly Howell; her son-in-law David Howell; and her siblings-in-law, Fern Brevik, Sadie Sigurdson (Connie), Pearl Wiebe (Abe), Diane Thiessen, Gloria Thiessen, Edith Thiessen, Betty Thiessen and Sandy Shabaga. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, friends.
