He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Broin and Edna Broin (Flaten); his former life partner Judith Ann Broin (Hanson); and his siblings, Arthur Donald, Harland and Beverly Felten.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy Broin; his children, Robert Broin (Miriam), Sioux Falls, Cindy Fisher-Broin (Nick), Jeff Broin (Tammie) and Todd Broin (Linda); his grandchildren, Adam (Joy), Derek (Molly), Jacob Broin, Josiah (Rachael), Noah (Alexzandra), Jonah (Emma Christine), Emma Fisher, Alyssa Christensen (Drew), Miranda Broin, Austin Broin, Lucas Broin, Jared Broin and Jessica Broin; and his siblings-in-law, Sarah Broin (Kenyon), Richard Hanson (Kenyon) and Barbara Hanson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holden Lutheran Church (6949 30th Ave Blvd, Kenyon, MN 55946). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Holden Lutheran Church.
