He was predeceased by: his mother Joyce Schmidt (Gabbert). He is survived by: his father Helmuth Schmidt of Cambridge; and his siblings, Jon Schmidt (Holly), Davis (Maria Schmidt) of Atlanta, GA., Dorothea "Dot" Gaspord (Dennis) of Cambridge and Sara Henry (Steve) of Cambridge. He is also survived by three nieces; two nephews; besides other relatives and friends.
