He was predeceased by : his parents, John Barnett and Amanda Barnett (Muggli); his son Joseph Barnett; his grandson Justin Caskey; his brother Bill Barnett; his sister-in-law Jan Barnett; and his nephews, Joey Gunville and Mike Barnett.
He is survived by : his wife Mavor Lee Otoupal of Kilkenny; his children, Carrie Caskey (Mike) of Holland, MN, JoAnne Parks (Bill) of Prescott, WI, Tim Barnett of New Prague, Laurie Lundeen of Long Beach, MS., Mark Barnett (Michelle) of Kilkenny, Julie Dorshak (Ron) of New Prague, Dan Barnett (Melinda Brown) of Kilkenny, Kevin Barnett (Keri) of Kilkenny, Al Barnett of Kilkenny, Pete Barnett (Bridget) of New Prague and Ryan Barnett (Chantel) of Montgomery; and his siblings, Don Barnett (Darlene) of Kilkenny, John Barnett (Sue Sullivan) of Chanhassen and Mary Ann Gunville (Jim) of Chanhassen. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.
