He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Quall and Berdine Quall (Thompson); his wife Jane Tracey; his daughter Sarah; his sister Cheryl Waller; and his sister-in-law Mary Sargent.

He is survived by: his son Seth Quall of Viroqua; his grandson Sam Matter; his stepgrandchildren, Liam Matter of La Crosse and Skylar Matter of Rochester; his sisters, Debra Bilskemper (David) and Cindy Liethen (Wayne); his brothers-in-law, James Tracey (Kay) of Medford, Robert Tracy (Sandy) of Onalaska and Steven Tracey (Alyce) of Birchwood; his sister Anne Sawyer (Tim) of Melrose; his close friend Jerry Clarkin (Debbie) of Onalaska; Wayne.
