She was predeceased by : her parents, Earl Gittens and Ruth Gittens (Horihan); and her husband George'Shorty'. She is survived by : her sons, Steve Ready (Sherry) and Rob Ready (Kim); her grandchildren, Chad, Heather, Karly and Ty Ready; her great grandchildren, Erin and Cameron; her sister Carol Gittens; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Luedtke; her nephew Kevin Gittens (Annette); and her close friends, Betty Baier and Wilma Ambuhl.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crucifixion Catholic Church (423 S 2nd St, La Crescent, MN 55947). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
