The memory of Janelle L. Cooper of La Crescent, Minnesota, who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 69, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Cooper and Madeline Cooper (Leonard); and her pet Jackie. She is survived by: her wife Kathleen K. Hanson; her children, Lena Cooper (Joshua) and Nick Cooper (Amber); her grandchildren, Jonah, Robert, Miriam and Theodore; her sisters, Anne Cooper, Patricia Cooper and Stacey Pimentel (Brian); her nephew Jacob; her sister Maria Pimentel; and her close friends, Jeff Johnson, Lynette Jagoda, Jennifer Deleveski, Ed Chapman, Matt Schultz, Dan Gibson, Julia Martyn and Tommy Hall.
Memorial contributions may be given in lieu of flowers, in Janelle's name to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum or to the New Bedford Whaling Museum (aka Old Dartmouth Historical Society).
