With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Sperbeck of La Crescent, Minnesota, who passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Angus Kerns and Iva Kerns (Riley); her former husband Arnold Selke; her husband Lyle Sperbeck; her brother Donald Kerns; her son-in-law Doug Strangstalien; and her granddaughter Julie Gerdes.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Selke, Debra Strangstalien, Erik (Bridget), Evan (Sara) and Walter "Butch" Selke (Joyce); her grandsons, William Selke (Susan) and Brian Selke; her stepchildren, Lori Henderson, Vicki Laughman (Keith), Curt Henderson (Karen), Linda Leidel and Craig Sperbeck; her stepgrandchild Carlie Mann (Nick); her stepsons, Seth Sperbeck (Kiela) and Bruce Sperbeck; and her sisters-in-law, Elva Kerns and Charlet Sperbeck. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
