With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Dzwonkowski (Lake City, Minnesota), who passed away on July 22, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Carol J. Peterson; his daughter Gena; his great grandchild Jayden Heisler; his parents, August Dzwonkowski and Mary Dzwonkowski; his in-laws, Carl and Della Peterson; and his siblings, Lambert Dzwonkowski Bell (Marge), Ed Dzwonkowski Bell (Helen), Roy Dzwonkowski Bell (Jeanette), Lorretta Westland (Ben), Marion Fort (Earl), Helen Foster (Stan), Harold Dzwonkowski, Chester Malewicki, Sarah Dzwonkowski and John Pozanc.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Heisler (John) of Lime Springs, IA, Scott Dzwonkowski (Theresa) of Mankato, MN, Dawn Dzwonkowski of Rochester, MN, Shelly Christopherson (Stewart) of Rochester, MN, Myra Dzwonkowski of Lake City, MN and Vicky Paulson of Lake City, MN.; his grandchildren, Heather DeYoung (Cory), Tom Heisler (Desi), Jake Heisler (Jamie), Holly Gronholz (Paul), Julie Paulson (Dan), Travis Dzwonkowski (Michelle), Darren Christopherson, Dustin Christopherson (Alyssa Lipp), Ryan Christopherson (Megan), Alex Paulson (Ruth) and Kyle Paulson; and his siblings, Irene Pozanc of Winona, MN, Nita Serwa of Winona, MN and Daniel Dzwonkowski of Winona, MN. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church - Lake City (516 W Chestnut St, Lake City, MN 55041). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
