He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Plank and Delores Plank (Eastman); his wife Versie Mae Walker of John's Lutheran Church; his daughter Carol; his son-in-law Rich O'Flaherty; and his siblings, Kenny Plank, Ellen Plank, Lois Beaham, Marvin Plank, Virginia Henning, Eugene Plank, Nancy O'Flaherty, Elaine Halpaus, Dort Blattner and Fran Plank.

He is survived by: his children, Barbara O'Flaherty of Lake City and Robert "Butch" Plank of Arden Hills, MN; his grandchildren, Tammy Moyer (Jeff), John O'Flaherty (Christy), Toni Jennison (Jeff), Carrie Kleinschmidt (Paul), Robbie Plank and Jackie Linville; his great grandchildren, Nick Moyer (Lizzie), Caitlin Moyer, Austin O'Flaherty (Claudia), Evan O'Flaherty, Jordan Jennison, Ethan, Julia LaBrash, Ray Ray Plank, Katlynn and Chandler Linville; his great great grandchildren, Johnathan, Theo Moyer and Ryder Contreras; and his siblings, John Plank (Janet), Shirley Meincke, Sharon Henning, Kathy Roberts, Charlotte Plank, Jim Plank and Ron Plank (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
