It is with sadness that the passing of Bernadine Marie Kaufhold of Lake Elmo, Minnesota is shared. Bernadine, born on April 23, 1945 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away on September 26, 2026. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph and Irene; her siblings, Joseph Eggert, Henry Eggert, Timothy Eggert and Susan Butler; her brothers-in-law, Allen Hauge and William Christo; and her nephew John Eggert.
She is survived by: her husband James Kaufhold; her sons, James Kaufhold of Lake Elmo, MN and Christopher Kaufhold of Belle Plaine, MN; her grandchildren, Courtney Kaufhold of Crystal, MN. and Eliana Kaufhold of Crystal, MN.; and her siblings, Dennis Eggert, Rita Christo, Richard Howells, Cecilia Hauge and Robert "Rocky" Howells. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church (8260 4th St N, Oakdale, MN 55128). A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:15 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (2101 Lexington Ave S, Mendota Heights, MN 55120).
Bernadine lived courageously with Alzheimer's disease during the final years of her life.
