He was predeceased by: his wife Ronna Lee Varns; his parents, Richard Varns and Margaret Varns; and his siblings, Cynthia Olson, Kevin and Guy Varns.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Hodson of Sioux Falls, SD, Sharai Garcia of Sioux Falls, SD and James Adams (Danika) of Harrisburg, SD; his grandchildren, Anthony, Brantley, Kris, Kaleb, Melodie, Keagan and Karson; and his siblings, Patricia Schmidt (Donald), Rick Varns of Sioux Falls, SD and Dennis Varns (Kathy) of Sioux Falls, SD.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Family Present Memorial. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103).
