He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Schindeldecker and Marjorie Schindeldecker (Post). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Suzanne Christensen; his daughters, Anne Schindeldecker of Minneapolis and Lisa Smith (Brad); his grandsons, Nathan, Christopher and Cooper; and his siblings, Kenneth (Linda) of Rosemount, Keith (Marilyn), Beverly Osborne (Bob), Dawn Kleineck (Chris) of Wilson, WI, Christy Hilgert (Scott) of Cottage Grove and Shelly Nadeau (Greg) of Hutchinson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorials are preferred to Christiania Lutheran Church Foundation.
