He is survived by: his wife Jan Torkelson of Lamberton; his children, Jennifer Benedict (Dave), Ryan Benedict (Liz) and Thomas Benedict; his grandchildren, Madeline and Brooks; his siblings, Judy Johnson (Gary) of Winnebago, Leon Benedict (Jan) of Lamberton, Kay Voge (Darv) of Springfield and Jon Benedict of Fairbanks, Alaska; his aunt Kathy Henning; and his uncle Jim Myers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (400 2nd Ave W, Lamberton, MN 56152). A Mass will be held on Thursday, November 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
He would give to others without needing anything in return and was always ready to lend a helping hand or donate to his church and community.
