It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Merlyn Jerome Peterson (Lamberton, Minnesota), who passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Peterson and Clara Peterson (Iverson); his sisters, Donna Mickelson and Virginia Noethe; and his brothers-in-law, Orville Huset, Bennie Noethe and Sam Mickelson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Mattison of Springfield; his children, Gary Peterson (Sharon), Dale Peterson (MaryLee), Jeffrey Peterson, James Peterson, Thomas Peterson, Janel Martinka (Paul), Jennifer Peterson and Paul Peterson (Sharon); and his sisters, Evelyn Huset and Shirley Bly (Les). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Springfield.
