He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Johnson and Mildred Johnson (Egge); his wife Elaine Thompson of Lanesboro; his brother Robert; and his nephew Cleo (Edna Thompson).
He is survived by: his children, Debra Lafferty (Dan), Kimberly Johnson and Troy Johnson (Chantel); his grandchildren, Matthew Lafferty (Emily), Logan Lafferty (Jessica), Lauren Lage (Mark), Ellen Gardener (Carson), Kelby Johnson and Kaleb Johnson; his great grandchild Brother David Johnson (Chess); and his sister Linda Erickson (Mike).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (200 Kenilworth Ave S, Lanesboro, MN 55949). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
