He was predeceased by: his mother Emma Fjerstad; his siblings, Betty, Don, Farrell, Glenda, Judy, LaVonne, Richard and Sterling "Buddy"; and his parents-in-law, Wallace and Artys "Jean" Jensen.
He is survived by: his father Selmer Fjerstad; his wife Barbara; his children, Brian Fjerstad (Eva), Jodi Bailey (Robert Plombon) and Jill Dougherty (Michael); his grandchildren, Anne Meurer (Chad), Amber Boynton (Bryce), Clinton Fjerstad (Michaela), Jensen Bailey, Gracie Seidel (Nathan) and Gabriel Dougherty; his great grandchildren, Brooks, Evelyn Meurer, Cheyenne, Corey, Chase, Claire, Camryn, Clyde Boynton and Matthew Fjerstad; his siblings-in-law, Mike and Lonnie Jensen; his friends, Gail Harty and Mike Derouin; and his pet Otis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
