She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Lyngen (Hughes) and John Lyngen; her husband Robert Dale Peterson; and her siblings, Doris O'Dell and Robert Lyngen.

She is survived by: her sister Helen Rahn; her children, Linda Hamper (Bob), Larry Peterson (Debbie) and Richard Peterson (Joan); and her grandchildren, Randi Salter (John), Mark Donahue (Jodi), Brian Peterson (Maureen) and Dean Peterson (Jessica). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Lanesboro Historical Museum or donor's choice.
