He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Martin and Gloria Martin (Torseth); and his siblings, Joy Brown, Joan Kirk and James Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Martin (Hammer); his children, Heather Martin, Jennifer Weltzin (Wayne), Nichole Abernathy (Dennis) and Josh Martin (Mary); his grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie, Caden, Isaiah, Nolan, Brendan, Adelyn, Kasey and Leonna; and his siblings, Jerri Sloan (Tom), Jill Whetstone and Jessie Martin.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages gifts to be directed to St Joseph's Hospice Care of Park Rapids or the ALS Association.
