She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thul and Gertrude Thul; her brothers, Bill and Bob Thul; and her siblings-in-law, Ken Nelson and Pat Thul.
She is survived by: her husband Leonard; her sisters, Mary Nelson and Betty Webber (Jerry); her sons, Patrick (Paula) and Michael (Lynn); her grandchildren, Shaun Olsen (Jessica), Craeg Olsen (Tanya), Christopher Sundsmo (Pamela), Kelly Dupree (Derek), Nicholas Sundsmo (Randi) and Jeffrey Sundsmo (Kristina); her great grandchildren, Jenique, Blake Olsen, Lucas, Eli, Aiden, Emily Sundsmo and Sebastian Dupree; and her son Bill Newsom (Suzy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and former neighbors.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home (575 Snelling Ave S, St Paul, MN 55116). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Hamline Midway Elders, 1514 Englewood Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55104.
