He is survived by : his son Arlan Brinkmeier; his daughter-in-law Sveta; his granddaughter Sofia; his daughters, Gail Brinkmeier and Laura Brinkmeier; his sisters, Gloria Pofahl and Georgina Johnson; his nieces and nephews, Darla Fromstein, Jennifer Miller (Scott), Janel Pofahl, Juli Pagel (Emil) and Tim Pofahl (Sarah); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sam Otto, Justin Fromstein, Samantha Fromstein, Amelia Miller, Gavin Miller, Maryann Pagel, Clara Pagel, Oliver Pagel and Riley Pofahl; and also Abigail Fromstein.
