Elden W. Salwey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elden W. Salwey of Lewiston, Minnesota, who passed away on October 7, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Williard Salwey and Clara Salwey (Ebert Lafka); his brother Robert Lafka; and his siblings-in-law, Arnold Bergler and Harriet Gebhart.
He is survived by: his wife Lila Mundon; his children, Martin Salwey (LeAnn) and Marie Schilling (Aaron); his granddaughter Rachel Duncanson (Michael); his children, Derek Salwey, Thomas Luhmann and Grace Gravos (Caleb); his stepgrandchild Lauryn Schilling; his great grandchildren, Paisley, Dylan Luhmann, Charlotte, Emily Duncanson and Gus Gravos; his sister Jeanette Bergler; and his siblings-in-law, Rose Weber (Bill) and John Gebhart. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (28483 Co Rd 12, Winona, MN 55987).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be directed to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Wilson, Alzheimer's Research, or to a charity of choice.
