He is survived by: his wife Ursula Thompson; his children, Cheryl Morin (Jim), Jane Walsh (Simon), Richard Karlen (Sally) and Dean Karlen (Martha); his grandchildren, Jennifer Windom (Chris Latham), Lisa Windom, David Windom (Carlie), Reagan Morin, Dawson Morin, Mahon Walsh, Declan Walsh, John Karlen (Theanna), Katarina Stark (Cain), Robert Karlen (Callie), Madeline Kelley (Michael), Parker Karlen, Evan Karlen, Spencer Karlen, Benjamin Sepulveda and Stephen Sepulveda; his great grandchildren, Isabel Latham, Ezekiel Latham, Bonnie Rose Harris and Ayla June Karlen; and his siblings, Joan Anderson, Marilyn Bodell and Ronald Karlen (Judy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church (171 Elm St, Lino Lakes, MN 55014).
