He is survived by: his children, Mary Piepenburg (Dale), Mark Johnson (Delaine) and Judy Meyering (Marty); his grandchildren, Jared Piepenburg (Katie), Patrick Johnson (Rachel), Wendy Meyering, Tyna Wenisch (Mike), Tim Meyering (Cait), Kaity Johnson and Steffi Meyering; and his great grandchildren, Henrik Piepenburg, Jossilyn Piepenburg, Rhys Wenisch, Annie Johnson, Lorelei Meyering and Lincoln Meyering.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home (316 S Sibley Ave, Litchfield, MN 55355). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Philip (821 E 5th St, Litchfield, MN 55355).
