He was predeceased by: his parents, Wenzel Marshik and Mary Marshik (Przybilla); his sister Arlene Stangl; and his siblings-in-law, Viola Marshik, Marlys Stangl, Johanna Maus, Charles Moore, Paul Bergland and Richard Stangl.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Hayes of Mary's Catholic Church; his daughters, Amy Jo Matros (Tim) of Little Falls and Deanna Zapzalka (Jason) of Bowlus; his siblings, Bernard Marshik of New Hope, Clifford Marshik (Bernice) of Pierz, Shirley Lardy (Herbert), Mardell "Delsie" Moore of Missouri, Aletha "Lee" Brown (Robert) of Waite Park and Carol Bergland of California; and his grandchildren, Mackenzie Matros, Caleb Matros and Erica Matros.
