He was predeceased by: his wife June Nelson; his parents, Arthur Nelson and Stella Nelson; and his brother Donald P. Nelson. He is survived by: his daughter Virginia Klitsch (Richard) of Bloomington, MN; his grandson Mark Klitsch of Coon Rapids, MN; his great grandchild Julie Lynn Klitsch; and his great great grandchild Kaiden Michael Terrell.

In Lieu of Flowers, Family prefers memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
