He is survived by: his wife Avis Gard of Little Falls; his daughters, Shelly Anne Sowada (Kevin) of Little Falls and Tanya Lee Gard of Little Falls; his stepchildren, Brian Lindberg of Pennington, MN and Dawn Christianson (Kent) of Baudette, MN; his grandsons, Lucas and Benjamin Sowada; his stepgrandchildren, Beth Zak, Brenda Bakken, Deidra Lindbergh, Aubrey Lindbergh and Lindsay Weis; and his sister Mary Beth Benson (Keith) of Byron, IL..
