He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Knapper and Edna Knapper (Amelung); his brother Edwin; his brother-in-law Jim Hanson; his nephew Kevin Hanson; his parents-in-law, Ed and Bernie; his brother-in-law Dennis Wolbeck; and his grandparents, Dan, Alice Knapper, Henry and Antonia Amelung.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Knapper (Wolbeck); his daughters, Ashley Baratta (Joe) and Amanda Huls (Nick); his grandchildren, Carson, Ethan, Lilian, Owen and Jemma; his siblings, Jean Hanson, Janet Opheim (Bill), Frank, Daryl, Jerry and Bob; and his sister-in-law Elaine. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Home (900 1st St SE, Little Falls, MN 56345). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
