It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sharon Ann Scanlon (Little Falls, Minnesota), who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold DeGrasse and Lorraine DeGrasse (Jensen); her husband Hugh A. Scanlon; her brothers, Bruce DeGrasse and Douglas DeGrasse; and her grandson Shane Romer.
She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Romer (Duane), Shelly Birch (Mark) and Scott Scanlon; her grandchildren, Zachary Romer (Natalie), Cassie Birch (Daniel), Meagan Birch, Alexis Templeton (Charlie) and Riley Scanlon; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Alex and Hallie Templeton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service-Little Falls (900 1st St SE, Little Falls, MN 56345). A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery (15550 MN-115, Little Falls, MN 56345). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Little Falls VFW (1210 3rd Ave NE, Little Falls, MN 56345). She eventually had to give up tennis but continued to play bridge until the pandemic.
