The memory of Mike J. Tesar (Long Lake, Minnesota), born in Hopkins, Minnesota, who passed away on April 28, 2026 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tesar and Zelta Tesar; and his brothers, Jon and Jeff. He is survived by: his wife Jan Tesar; his sons, Gary Tesar (Tammy) and Todd Tesar (Josette); his grandchildren, Cole, Madison, Taylor and Anna; his great grandchild Landry; and his sister Andrea Childs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rettinger Funeral Home (425 Lake St, Long Lake, MN 55356).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions to the NewGate School, a nonprofit automotive technical school that provides tuition free training and career support for underserved young adults in the Twin Cities. Donations may also be made to the American Diabetes Association in Mike's honor to support research, advocacy, and programs that improve the lives of those living with diabetes.
