She is survived by: her husband Don Schmidt; her daughters, Anita Schmidt, Barb Morisch (Dave), Coleen Schmidt and Deb Schmidt; her grandchildren, Jessica Hansen (Adam), Steph Latzke (Michael), Josh Morisch (Katie), Joe Morisch (Sannie), Nathan Messer and Katie Robyn (Dexter); her great grandchildren, Evan, Mason Hansen, Abby, Emily Morisch, Caleb Morisch, Lexi Messer, Chase and Chandler Robyn; and her siblings, Art Michels, Maynerd Michels, Margaret Hommerding (Delmar), LaVonne Hommerding (Harlan) and LaVerne Michels (Sue).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary of Mt.
