He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Ptacek of Spring Valley, MN.; his son Grant; his parents-in-law, Everett and Violet Simonson; his brother Gary Ptacek; and his brothers-in-law, Fred Ruesink and Donnie Simonson.
He is survived by: his mother Mildred Ptacek (McConnell); his wife Rhonda Simonson of Grand Meadow; his children, Michael Ptacek Jr., Amanda Stier, Brittany Ptacek (Troy), Chelsey Ptacek and Cassidy Probasco (Luke); his grandchildren, Aaliyah (Michael), Caiden, Easton, Lila (Amanda), Stella (Chelsey), Grant and Mila (Cassidy); his siblings, Kathy Ruesink, Greg Ptacek, Tony Ptacek (Marcia), Debbie Dahl (Jon), Rick Ptacek (Kim), Kirk Ptacek (Marty), Theresa Turner (Bruce), Tom Ptacek, Darla Bernard (Jeff) and Jeff Ptacek; and his sisters-in-law, Lanna Gehling (Ron), Jeanie King (Denny) and Julie Stier (Marty). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
