He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Haak and Cornelia Haak (Van Bemmel); and his siblings, Gerald Haak, Henry Haak, Marie Koedam and Alida Ver Burg.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Alice Haan; his children, Todd Haak (Myrna) of Hills, Richard Haak (Debra) of Zeeland, Rebecca Stammis (Brent) of Grand Rapids and Albert Haak (Elda) of Holland, Michigan; his grandchildren, Ryan Haak, Josh Haak, Kassie Van't Hof (Cody), Jill Gruppen (Scott), Dana Collier (Joshua), Brian Haak (Becca), Maggie Stammis, Josie Stammis, JT Stammis, Charlotte Stammis, Ben Haak, Levi Haak and Abi Haak; his great grandchildren, Ella, Brooklyn, Cassidy, Evinn, Jaxson, Elijah, Landon, Aubrey and Elowyn; and his sister Henrietta Haan (Richard) of Brandon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hills Christian School or Luverne Christian Reformed Church.
