He was predeceased by: his parents, Bastiaan Eck and Annie Van Eck (Van't Hof); his siblings, Margaret Eisfeld (Albert), Annette Eisfeld (Herman), John Van Eck (Gerdena), Cornelia Bodewitz (Mike), Nellie Ellgen (Lester), Hugo Van Eck (Beulah), Bastiaan Van Eck and Annie Severeid (Richard); and his great grandchild Clara Schaap.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Van Eck; his children, Betty Harms (Brad), Donald Van Eck (Sandy) and Linda Zwart (Curt); his sister Jenny Van Roekel (Bob); and his siblings-in-law, Ted Lyzenga, John Tims, Janice Van Eck, Joann Lyzenga and Jeanette Tims. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
