With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Craig Stangeland of Luverne, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 11, 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Elmer and Dorothy Anna Stangeland (Beack); and his grandson Joshua Stangeland. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Schneider of Pipestone; his children, Ted Stangeland (Jennifer) of Jasper, Heather Stangeland (Lindsay Laughlin) of Brandon and Don Stangeland of Pipestone; his grandchildren, Sylas Stangeland, Hunter St. Aubin, Kasey Stangeland, Allison Odens, Aliyah, Tong Laughlin, Maddex and Nolan Jensen; his great grandchildren, Harriet and Bellamy Odens; his brother Jon Stangeland (Mary) of Pipestone; and his granddaughter Autumn Covin. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Christ the King Free Lutheran Church (804 8th Ave NE, Pipestone, MN 56164). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Ihlen Cemetery.
