He was predeceased by: his parents, Valdi Totman and Lois Totman (Reynolds); his wives, Audrey Totman (Cambern) and Rose Totman (Gardner); his sons, Jerry Lee Totman and Thomas Totman; his stepdaughter Laurie Fortune; his grandson Timothy Pheng Chanh; his siblings, Donald, Earl, Robert, Harold Totman, Viola Kennedy, Cleo Steele and Dorthy Brockberg; and his friend John Hess.
He is survived by: his children, Samuel Totman of Jasper, Timothy Totman (Judy Wiese) of Pipestone, Minnesota and Tonia Lewis (Brian) of Bonneau; his stepson Mark Gardner (Nancy) of Munds Park, Arizona; and his stepson-in-law Doug Fortune (Robin) of Mankato, Minnesota. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
