Janice Schei Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janice Schei of Luverne, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2026 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janice Schei to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Bultmann and Christina Bultmann (Behr); her husband Dennis Schei; and her siblings, Elden, Edwin, Ruth, Harold, Lyla and Marlyn.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kris Ann Polzien (Brad) of Wall Lake, Sara Altman (Mark) of Adrian and Marti Thompson of Sioux Falls; her granddaughters, Josi Altman, Sadi Altman, Paige Polzien and Ingrid Thompson; her sister Norma Kolterman (Lee) of Niobrara, Nebraska; and her sisters-in-law, Linda Bultmann, Darnelle Mammen and Darla Aukes.

Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne, the Luverne Hospice Cottage or Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fulda, Minnesota.
