LaVon Mohr Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of LaVon Mohr of Luverne, Minnesota is shared. LaVon, born on July 4, 1935, passed away on August 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
LaVon will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor LaVon by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though LaVon is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. LaVon’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Holtan and Ahme Holtan (Tesch); her husband David Mohr of Luverne; and her siblings, Jean and Donald Holtan.
She is survived by: her son John Mohr (Jennifer) of Temecula; and her grandson Aidan of Temecula.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hartquist Funeral Home - Luverne Chapel (207 Elm St, Luverne, MN 56156). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at the Inurnment Maplewood Cemetery - Luverne (1242 W Warren St, Luverne, MN 56156).
They lived together for over 50 years in the home they built together until 2014 when Parkinson's Disease forced LaVon (with David at her side) to move into the Good Samaritan Oaks and Poplar Creek, Luverne.
