It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Bird of Luverne, Minnesota, born in Wing, North Dakota, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Deckert and Doris Deckert (Morrison); her husband Ron; her sister Carla Jean Deckert; and her great grandchild Charlotte Albers.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Albers (Michael) of Bakersville, Jason Bird (Jill) of Cherokee and Travis Bird (Denise) of Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandchildren, Rustyn Crosby (Kathreena), Cheyenne Albers, Laramie Albers (Whitney), Cody Albers (Lena), Jason R. Bird Jr., Alexander H. Bird, Gabriel L. Bird, Alexa Keleher and Kaysie Davis (Jason); her great grandchildren, Qrow Ham, Charliegh Albers, Silas Vauble, Blair Davis, Jensen Albers and Jameson Albers; and her brothers, Garry Deckert (JoAnn) of Bismark, Dennis Deckert (Charlene) of Arena and Randy Deckert of Rugby.
She enjoyed donating her time to the church and also to her friends and was always willing to help in any way that she could.
