She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Schliinz and Leola Schliinz (Duncan); her husband Gerald Merrill; her son Gerry Merrill; and her brother Don Schliinz.
She is survived by: her daughters, LaVon Gennette (Frank Pellegrino) of Guilford, LaNet Merrill (Brian Gaffey) of Sanibel Island and LeAnn Quist (Scott) of Pipestone; her daughter-in-law Laurie Merrill Hulstein (Cal) of Pipestone; her grandchildren, Wade Gennette (Brogan Mei), MaKenzi Blalock (Austen), Laura Gaffey (Brandon Tatera), Billy Quist (Stacy), Joel Quist (Erin), Greg Quist (Karissa Kuhle), Nichole Bremer (Weston) and Michael Merrill (Katie May); her great grandchildren, Landon Quist, Luka Quist, Tate VanRoekel, Trent VanRoekel (Mazie Elrod), Caleb Quist, Carson Quist, Cooper Quist, Ivy Kuhle-Quist, Reagan Bremer, Quinn Bremer, Barret Bremer, Myles Merrill and Ryker Merrill; her great great grandchild Maverick VanRoekel; her sisters, Mildred Carstensen of Pipestone, Janet Jensen of Omaha, Connie Schliinz of Dell Rapids and Karen Oberle of Tea; and her sister-in-law Marlys Schliinz of Flandreau. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace United Methodist Church - Pipestone (500 7th St SE, Pipestone, MN 56164). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
