He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius "Case" Koopal and Jennie Koopal (Buss); his wife Judy Koopal; and his brothers, William "Bill" (Eileen Koopal) and John "Jack" (Betty Koopal).
He is survived by: his children, Janae Steiner (Nohle), Jason Koopal (Lacey) and Jared Koopal (Rebecca); his granddaughter Samantha Steiner; and his children, Brady, Caralee, Crissa, Brendan Koopal, Kirsten, Case and Chance Koopal.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home - Austin (1801 4th St NW, Austin, MN 55912). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are preferred to the Lyle First Responders, the Lyle Fire Department, or another Lyle‑based community organization of your choosing.
