She was predeceased by : her grandson Ben; her son-in-law Eric; her sisters, Juanita Baldwin, Marlene Meyer and Dianne Nundahl; and her parents, Leonard Hills and Frances Hills (Keech).

She is survived by : her children, Shelley Torgerson (Barry) of Laguna Hills, CA, Luanne Boomgarden (Duane) of Madelia, Gayle Black of Arab, Alabama, William Jarvis of Grand Rapids, MN and Kenneth Jarvis of Wells, MN; and her sister LaRae LaPlante (Earl) of New Ulm. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Madelia United Methodist Church (106 Center Ave N, Madelia, MN 56062). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
