He is survived by: his father David Hammett; his wife Lisa Schmahl; his children, Ashley Hammett of Madison Lake, Travis Hammett (Marci Rossow) of Madison Lake, Kourtney Hammett (Alex Kjolstad) of Madison Lake, Brett Hammett of Madison Lake and Kyle Hammett of Madison Lake; his close friends, Benelli and Moose; his pets, Nova, Elby and Maggie; his brothers, Jim Hammett (Julie) of Janesville and Brian Hammett (Stacy) of St. Peter; his siblings-in-law, Edith Jurgens of Windom, Debra Schmahl of Cleveland and Brad Schnepf; and his aunt Betty Lou Ewert (Gary) of Janesville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
