She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Steele and Mildred Neff Steele; her husband Harley Sommerfeld; her brothers, Burton Steele, Chester Steele, Howard Steele and Harold Steele; her children-in-law, Maria Sommerfeld and Randolph Scott; and her granddaughter Kelsie Sommerfeld.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Sommerfeld of Oxford, Sherry Scott of Golden Valley, Todd Sommerfeld (Tu Lynn) of Crookston, Loree Weigel (Dean) of Mora, Lisa Buck (James) of Sunburg, Terri Eidenschink (Gary) of Climax and Bill Sommerfeld of Mahnomen, Minnesota; and her sister Betty Mae Frazee. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home (615 S Minnesota St, Crookston, MN 56716). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
