He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene LaVoi and Caroline LaVoi (Blaser); his parents-in-law, John and Lucille Roddy; his siblings-in-law, Ardean Erickson, Lelon Oliver, Dick Roddy, Gary Collins, Pat Kubik and Joan Holmes; and his nephew Scott Henricks.
He is survived by: his wife Rita (Roddy); his sons, Brent (Jody) of Sauk Centre, MN, Jerry (Heidi) of Leawood, KS, Randy of Fargo, ND and Craig (Kristine) of Underwood, MN; his grandchildren, Zander, Brianna, Jackson, Matthew, Varo and Logan; his siblings, Gary (Diana) of Prior Lake, MN, Debra Erickson of Pelican Rapids, MN and Colleen Oliver of Lacey's Spring, AL; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Holmes (Carolyn), Bill Roddy (Jan), Marilyn Henricks and Ellen Collins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
