She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Ommen and Dorothy Ommen; her brother Jim Ommen; and her siblings-in-law, Karen Etzell and Pete Etzell.
She is survived by: her husband Mark Goldsmith; her children, Tom Goldsmith (Judy), Kari Bucholz (Kevin) and Sharon (Bob Berg); her grandchildren, Greg Goldsmith (Briena), Jason Goldsmith (Erika), Ben Goldsmith, Eric Goldsmith (Sierra), Dr. Somer Bucholz, Haley Bucholz (Minda), Lukas Maughan (Hayley), Yukon Maughan and Jaclyn Maughan; her great grandchildren, Kaylin and Jackson Goldsmith; her sister-in-law Mary Ommen; Jason, Eric, Ben, Somer, Haley, Lukas, Yukon and Jacklyn.
Mary "Penny" Goldsmith was welcomed into heaven on July 28, 2025, at the age of 85, after a long and courageous battle with dementia and Alzheimer's.
