She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Ommen and Dorothy Ommen. She is survived by: her brother Jim Ommen; her husband Mark Goldsmith; her children, Tom Goldsmith (Judy), Kari Bucholz (Kevin) and Sharon (Bob Berg); her grandchildren, Greg Goldsmith (Briena), Jason Goldsmith (Erika), Ben Goldsmith, Eric Goldsmith (Sierra), Dr. Somer Bucholz, Haley Bucholz (Minda), Lukas Maughan (Hayley), Yukon Maughan and Jacklyn Maughan; her great grandchildren, Kaylin and Jackson Goldsmith; and also, Jason, Eric, Ben, Somer, Haley, Lukas, Yukon and Jacklyn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (120 W Jefferson Ave, Mahnomen, MN 56557). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Mary "Penny" Goldsmith was welcomed into heaven on July 28, 2025, at the age of 85, after a long and courageous battle with dementia and Alzheimer's.
