We bid farewell to Alan Meyer of Mankato, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 23, 2026 at the age of 72. Alan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Meyer and Sally Meyer; his brother Gordy; and his brother-in-law Ron Fuchs. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Burns; his son Michael (Jenice); his grandchildren, Dylan and Madeline; his son Benjamin (Kathy); his grandchildren, Bailey, Emily and Brandon; his daughter Sarah Peterson (Steve); his grandchildren, Ally, Makayla and Isabelle; his sisters, Karen Meyer, Doris Fuchs and Kathy Schultz (Jerry); his nieces and nephews, Chris, Matt, Jerry, Jenny, Ryan and Brandee; and his siblings-in-law, Tim Burns and Patty Meyer. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Northview-North Mankato Mortuary (2060 Commerce Dr, North Mankato, MN 56003). A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to VINE or River of Life Lutheran Church, St. Peter.
