He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Sprague and Inza Sprague (Avery); his siblings, Stanley, Herbert, Robert, Orville Sprague, Dorothy Sullivan and Luella Kearney; and his grandchildren, Sarah Sprague Roberts and Colin Sprague.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Willett; his children, Dennis (Cindy) of Blacksburg, VA, Tim (Lynn) of Madison Lake, MN, Rick Sprague (Diane) of Mankato, Mike (Michelle) of Mankato, MN and Jan Northenscold (Erik); his grandchildren, Kelly Feekes (Michael) of Minneapolis, MN, Dan Sprague (Jaci) of Madison Lake, MN, Emily Sprague (Victor) of Puerto Rico, Shawn Sprague of Mankato, MN, Heidi Sprague of Mankato, MN, Stacie Ramshead (Jeremy) of Farmington, MN and Ashley Claeys (Tucker) of Oak Grove, MN; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Raegan, Gordon, Hudson, Livi, Cora, Owen and Emmy; and his siblings, Douglas Sprague, Doris Lorenson, Judy Baumgart and Betty Schaefers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (632 S Broad St, Mankato, MN 56001). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church (632 S Broad St, Mankato, MN 56001).
