We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2025, Doris Joann Peterson of Mankato, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bud Dakken and Naomi Dakken; her children, Lori Benike (Archie), Scott Peterson (Dolly), Susan Spellacy (Greg) and Thomas Peterson; her grandchildren, Joseph Benike (Lauren), Ethan Benike, Aaron, Joshua Spellacy, Zander, Riley and Julian Peterson; her great grandchildren, Juniper and Basil Benike; and her brothers, David and Dana Dakken.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mankato Mortuary (1001 N Riverfront Dr, Mankato, MN 56001).
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for contributions to Moments Hospice and The Greater Mankato Alzheimer's Association.
